The machine register is an electronic register where information about work machines and equipment is collected in one place. The system can be compared with the vehicle register of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
The register stores technical information about the machine, information about the legal owner, landlord and machine user, declaration of conformity, expert control, etc.
With such a register, information can be shared and coordinated between the actors, simplify the work for all parties and help prevent work environment crime.
Behind the Machine Register is a unified industry with EBA, MEF and MGF at the forefront.

In the Machine Register you can see which machines are registered on you. You can register machines and see expert checks.
Solutions are developed for service / maintenance and daily control that can easily be registered with a mobile phone or tablet.
Machine user / contractor gets a unique overview of all their machines on reginn.no . It is also possible to connect your own administration systems to the register free of charge.

A common machine register has long been a wish of the authorities and the industry. Suppliers of construction machinery register all new and used machines in the register and several clients are in the process of requiring registration of all machines in their projects.
Anchored in the industry
The register is a measure for a serious industry and for gathering all basic information in one place.
EBA, MEF and MGF appointed a steering group that chose the Central Register Foundation to develop and operate the scheme.
Contractors, expert companies and other companies with their own IT systems can join the Machine Register free of charge.

The machine register is a system that will fulfill the wishes and requirements of many players in the industry. First and foremost, machine operator, contractor and legal owner.
In addition, there are machine operators, expert inspectors, manufacturers’ representatives, dealers, insurance and finance companies, public and private builders, regional safety representatives, as well as authorities such as the Police, Customs and the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority.

Use of the Machine Register simplifies everyday life for both the client and the machine user. All documentation is stored electronically and the declaration of conformity, emissions and expert control are updated and can be shared automatically. An overall supplier industry is behind the register.
